Investigation

Investigation of hazardous near hits and incidents is a top priority for Oceaneering. We can not and will not give acceptancy to any injuries or incidents. When an incident has occurred, it is important to map the causual factors leading to the incidents. By knowing these, we can reduce /elliminate the likelihood for the incident to occur again.

 

All injuries are investigated. In addition, incidents and near hits which could cause a great potential of harm to human, environment and equipment is always investigated.

Oceaneering uses an investigation methodology called Taproot.

Taproot determines causal factors leading to an incident and implementation of barriers to prevent the incident from occuring again. HSE /CQi employees have thoroughal training in the use of TapRoot software system.

Oceaneering strives for (CQI) Continious quality improvent.  An event that has Occured in Norway can be just as relevant for one of our systems in the Gulf of Mexico. Global Safety Bulletins are always sent Worldwide  and reviewed after an investigation is complete By doing this, we ensure a world wide synnergi corrective being initiated by an event.
